B-hydra Core
12.5 MB · .exe · 64-bit
DownloadA full node: it stores the chain, verifies blocks, mines, and talks to other nodes. No Python to install — everything is packed into a single file.

DownloadThe buttons above point to GitHub Releases — files are served straight from there, with nothing in between.
Make sure the file you downloaded matches the sum published above. If they differ, do not run it.
# Windows, PowerShell Get-FileHash .\B-hydra-Core-windows.exe # macOS shasum -a 256 B-hydra-Core-macos # Linux sha256sum B-hydra-Core-linux
The files carry no publisher certificate, so your system will ask first. On Windows: “More info” → “Run anyway”. On macOS and Linux the file needs execute permission.
# macOS chmod +x B-hydra-Core-macos xattr -d com.apple.quarantine B-hydra-Core-macos # Linux chmod +x B-hydra-Core-linux ./B-hydra-Core-linux
A window opens with tabs for wallet, mining, network, mempool, blocks and addresses. The node starts working right away; no sync is needed, as the chain is still small.
The files are not signed. A publisher certificate costs money and this project does not have one. Windows will show a SmartScreen warning and macOS will say the developer is unverified. That is normal for an open project, but it means you are overriding your system's warning at your own risk — checking the checksum here is not a formality, it is the only verification available to you.
The network is in alpha. There are no public participants yet: the node will mine on its own and will not find neighbours unless you add them by hand. The coin is not traded, not sold, and has no price. If someone offers to sell you BHY, it is not us.
The wallet creates keys locally. They sit on your own disk and are never sent anywhere. Backups are yours to make: a lost key cannot be recovered by us or by anyone else.
If you want to see what you are running, it works on Python 3.9 and newer. The core needs no external packages: blockchain, wallet, transactions and P2P are written on the standard library.
git clone https://github.com/vladislav957/B-hydra.git cd B-hydra python bhydra_gui.py # desktop client with a window python cli.py # command line python api.py # REST API and web explorer
# optional modules: signature accelerator, QR codes, .exe packaging pip install -r requirements.txt # Linux: tkinter is needed for the window sudo apt-get install -y python3-tk
That is SmartScreen: it warns about anything without a certificate. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. Before that, compare Get-FileHash against the sum on this page.
Remove the quarantine flag: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine B-hydra-Core-macos. Or right-click the file and choose “Open”, and the system will offer to run it manually.
There are none yet. The network is in alpha and one node is running. You can add a neighbour by hand on the Network tab, in the “Peer (host:port)” field, if you started a second instance on another machine.
The target block time is 48.6 minutes. At the current difficulty the search takes a fraction of a second, so the pace is set by a schedule rather than by hardware. Difficulty will be raised before the network opens.
In the wallet file next to the application. It is not password-encrypted by default and is never sent anywhere. Copy it somewhere safe: without it, access to funds cannot be restored.
The source is fully open and builds run automatically on GitHub Actions from that same repository. You can build the binary yourself with pyinstaller --onefile --windowed bhydra_gui.py and compare how it behaves.
